Getting started on the new drawMD Platform!

We will no longer be supporting the drawMD iPad specialty apps that look like this (regardless of the specialty)

To make the transition as smooth as possible for all drawMD users, we have given users the tools to migrate all of their saved drawings onto the new platform while setting up their accounts with the same features of the old drawMD plus some new functionality.

Read the guide below or watch this quick video or check out the guide below to help understand the process.

As you can see below, I have some saved drawings in my drawMD General Surgery app and I’m going to migrate them to the new drawMD.

Tap ‘Information’

Scroll down a little bit and tap ‘Migrate’

The screen below will open.

Type in the email address you’d like to use for your new drawMD account, regardless of whether or not you have used it with us before, and tap migrate. Depending on how many drawings you have on your device, it may take a few moments for them to all be transfered to the cloud.

While your drawings are being uploaded, you should receive an email from us to finish creating your account that looks like this:

Click the “Accept” button to confirm your email address and be directed the screen below to set a password for your account (where your saved drawings will be moved to).

From here, create a password. The password must be 8 characters, have 1 uppercase letter, 1 lower case letter and 1 number to be valid.

Once your password is successfully set, you will be directed into the web app version of drawMD on your device’s browser. You’ll probably want to get the app for your device, so check out this article for more information on downloading the apps onto your device

To view all your saved presentation just tap on the ‘Presentations’ tab from the side menu from the new app.

You should see all your saved drawings and be good to go! If you need to import drawings from more than 1 drawMD app keep reading!

To migrate more saved drawings, all you have to do is tap on the information tab on whichever app you’d like to transfer drawings from, enter the same email address you used earlier, and tap on migrate. All your drawings will be migrated to the account associated with that email address - and that’s it! You should not have to do anything else beyond that.
